Rules: A pool of $35,000 will be made available in a one-time gift of $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors attending a college or university.

The students must have a 3.0 GPA (or 85% average) and will graduate from a high school in one of the following counties in Pennsylvania: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Bucks, Butler, Cambria, Centre, Chester, Clearfield, Clinton, Cumberland, Dauphin, Elk, Indiana, Jefferson, Lancaster, Lawrence, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Somerset, Union, Washington and Westmoreland.

Or one of the following counties in Ohio: Ashtabula, Clermont, Delaware, Franklin, Hamilton and Stark.

Applicants must complete an application and an essay (500 words or less) detailing their community involvement, the impact that involvement had on their community and the impact it had on them.

Entries are due at the close of business on February 27, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. One entry per student.

Entries must be submitted online at http://www.fcbanking.com/scholarship.

Winners will be chosen by a committee of First Commonwealth executives and will be judged based on their academic achievements, community involvement and the creativity and originality of their essay. All decisions will be final.

By submitting an application, students (and/or their parent or legal guardian): (1) agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges which are final and binding in all matters; and (2) grant First Commonwealth Bank and their designees the right, unless prohibited by law, to use their names, school name, cities and states of residence, pictures and likenesses, without compensation, notification or permission, for the purpose of advertising and publicity in any and all media, now or after known, throughout the world in perpetuity.
